Call for Partners: Reduce & Reuse

The City of Copenhagen has the ambition of increasing direct reuse of resources in 2024 by 3 times the level in 2016. Are you interested in helping achieving this goal?

Flex area

The City of Copenhagen is currently looking for partners to test collection and direct reuse of new residual resource fractions from the flexible area at Vermlandsgade recycling station. Examples could include used mattresses, specific furniture or wood items, picture frames, textiles or used knifes. Really, the possibilities for testing are only limited by the imagination.

The target group for this request for partners includes (but are not limited to):

  • Companies with a socio-economic dimension
  • Entrepreneurs
  • Startups
  • Artists
  • Designers

Are you iterested?

Do you have an idea for a collection test? Or do you represent a company/organisation on the lookout for a specific residual resource stream, which is not currently available?

If you are interested, please describe your basic idea, and include how you see your role in the partnership. The City of Copenhagen receives proposals on a running basis throughout 2022.

In addition, you can join a guided tour of Vermlandsgade Recycling Station and discuss your ideas with us:

  • 22 March 2022 at 11:00 am
  • 21 April 2022 at 16.30 pm

Contact us for registration for the tours.

A written partnership agreement will be developed between the associated parties. As a partner, you must be willing to co-finance part of the development activities (e.g. via man-hours or use of equipment). Project results will be published on a continual basis.
