Give New Life to Copenhagen’s Discarded Bicycles

The City of Copenhagen is launching a pilot project to collect and reuse discarded bicycles from private courtyards across the city.

From January 6th to the end of June (with the possibility of extension), the City of Copenhagen will be gathering and redistributing wasted bicycles to new users.

We are now looking for one or more partners who can:

  • Receive wasted bicycles directly from the city
  • Refurbish or reuse them — either whole or in parts
  • Ideally include a social or circular economy focus in their setup

Together, we aim to build an efficient system for collecting, repairing, and redistributing bikes that would otherwise remain as waste — ensuring that as many as possible are given a new lease on life.

If your organization has the skills, capacity, and interest to participate, we’d love to hear from you. Please fill in the attached questionnaire (either English or Danish) and send it to us no later than November 14th.

For questions, feel free to get in touch...

(inquiries will be answered  only after November 10th due to vacation)

Submit your completed form by November 14th.
